Fair Isle knittingFair Isle knitting - technique of knitting multicoloured patterns, that came from Fair Isle close to Scotland. It is knitted on circular needle in the round using maximum two colours in one row. While knitting we see only right side of work and it is more simple to knit even complicated pattern. Traditional pattern is OXO. Steek is pattern that is knitted in places where we want to have openings for sleeves or necklines. Those openings are cut with scissors. More about steek could be found on wikipedia. See pictures on googlu, flickrovi, yahoo.
